We Are Looking For A Community Manager!
To empower next generation social business leaders, we need to communicate in a way that translates our value. We are looking for a ‘Community Manager’ to lead communications with our partners, clients, incubatees and other stakeholder groups. The Community Manager will be responsible for all communications, public relations, social media, entrepreneurship program, conference, community events and content creation, among other things. It’s a new role in our team, incorporating online tools and in-person networking to create relationships and ultimately build YY Goshti’s brand, both online and offline.
What You Will Be Doing:
Content creation – writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media and email channels
Growth– You are responsible to assist our CEO in on boarding new projects, startups and partners
Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing YY Goshti’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook and other strategically relevant online properties
Events – representing YY Goshti at startup/ social business related events and planning monthly meetups for our community in Dhaka
Public relations – managing incoming media requests and building relationships with industry journalists; creating, executing and measuring media campaigns
Incubatee relations – You are responsible to support our incubatees– answering questions, connecting them with mentors and organising office hours
Communications strategy – You are responsible for creating strategic marketing/communications plans to provide direction to the senior management and leading a team of freelancers, interns and volunteers in doing so
We Are Looking For Someone Who
– can walk into a networking event and be comfortable in representing YY Goshti
– have background in journalism or experience in content creation
– have experience with social media tools e.g. Twitter and Facebook for business
-is driven by passion and considers impact first
-is not looking for a traditional 9-5 job and happy to work in some evenings and weekends, and responding to community members outside of work hour
-has great time management skills and able to multitask
-has experience with public relations
-has a undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields.

– Experience of building your own business
– Experience in recruiting young entrepreneurs, interns and volunteers
-Time when you need it – flexible working hours and vacation
