Scoping Visit to the Central African Republic

Our team was in Bangui last month to meet major local ecosytem players of Central African Republic.

Joining hands with the best

In partnership with Yunus Centre and Caritas Centrafrique we are collaborating with Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to launch a Social Business Incubation program in Bangui. This collaboration will help Carmelitas Fathers Community to design their own Social Businesses and help 25 conflict affected youth to start their own agribusinesses.

Our programs for relevant youth groups will help create cooperatives in agribusiness activities that can be operated as a social business owned by the community to increase income opportunities for small holder farmers. Along with our partners we aim to organize a Social Business Forum with relevant private, public and development sector entities, potential donors and investors and young entrepreneurs to inspire and engage them in developing social business ventures, research centers etc in CAR.

Our local partner
Yunus Centre and YY Goshti is partnering up with Caritas Centrafrique and University of Bangui run the social business activity in Bangui. In 2019-2020 we will be working with 25 entrepreneurs and help them launch their own businesses.

We are also looking to learn from and collaborate with Insitut de Recherehces et d’Applications des Methodes de development (IRAM), Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), International Labour Organization (ILO) and other institutions interested in the revolutionary Social Business concept of Professo Muhammad Yunus.
